I was coming home Monday when I see a sight that took my breath away. Granted, the only thing I had on me was my phone, but I still managed to capture the awe.

These rainy days have definately got me down. Thankfully I've been so busy that the rain has forced me inside to finish work so I didn't mind too much, but how I secretly yearned for the sun's warmth.
After today's storm, I HAD it.
I was going to do something about it, take advantage.
I have absolutely been dying to do rain photos since Elliott learned to walk.
Everytime a rain storm would pass, I would sigh and go about my business because it just didn't seem to be the time yet. These photos weren't yet ready to be taken.

I finally get a breather in my ever so busy life I have been living these last few weeks that I finally have a day (well, half-a-day really) to relax before picking back up where I started! I have an expo this weekend and then wedding season starts! Been trying to catch up on my blogs but I would rather take advantage of the sunshine, no offence!
Elliott and I finally managed to escape from work Tuesday for a few hours and made plans to have lunch with my mother-in-law and her darling son (that being my husband, ofcourse!) and ate lunch at our local ice cream shoppe.
Elliott was in heaven.
As we were leaving we spotted a purple cow.
It was love at first sight.
The last adventure of the day was when we went to the park,
and we saw the sweetest pup!
All I heard for the rest of the day was "That puppy was sooo cute!"
All of these things (and more) makes the time I put aside just for him worthwhile and happy that I take the time to breathe.

One of my favorite features of my son is his gorgeous hair.
It's soft like his father's, thick and blonde like his mother's.
I never had to brush it, bed-head did not exist for him. He would wake up and every peice would just lay in the spot it was supposed to. So not fair!
And longer hair just suited him. It had become a part of his personality.
After our most recent trip to the park, I was so frustrated that his hair was blocking out his gorgeous eyes in nearly every photo. I threw in the towel, grabbed the sissors, and trimmed his hair.
Only, I failed miserably.
I looked at him and a little peice inside of me died because I knew what had to be done.
His hair. On the floor. It's enough to make me cry.
Until I looked up to see an even cuter little boy.
My new boy.
I could definately get used to this!
